SKILLS NEED ANALYSIS
Via an online questionnaire, skills gaps and personal development needs are identified. This is done both from the perspective of self-reflective identification of needs and the perspective of line managers on skills needed in their teams.
STAFF PERCEPTION RESEARCH
A safe feedback mechanism (an anonymous online questionnaire, with responses analysed through thematic, qualitative analysis) offers staff an opportunity to voice concerns and offer solutions to the way forward for the team and / or the organisation. Staff are requested to indicate areas of inefficiency, articulate needs, comment on strengths of the team and organisation, and offer insights into what they believe in terms of strategic direction. These first-person accounts are used to draw up a report that can serve as management intelligence in dealing with problematic corporate climate and leading on areas of concern. It also offers valuable insight and a channel of upward communication.
FORMULATION OF STRATEGIC DRIVERS
This management empowerment session outlines how to move from vision or mission statement to the strategic drivers that need to be in place to achieve the vision / mission statement. It moves to translate abstract, nominal concepts into observable, measurable indicators of strategy, vision and corporate values.
PROCESS MAPPING
If the communication objectives / strategic communication drivers are clear, the processes that link up to these objectives need to be mapped. This workshop maps processes by outlining the identified processes, describing the phases of those processes, achieving role clarity and clarifying phase ownership, and enhancing quality (effectiveness and efficiency) in communication processes.

Communication audits seek to explore an organisation’s ability to communicate. It analyses and evaluates senders and communicated identity, audiences, channels and message formulation.
